Our Story

Hi!

Our Names are Pat and Rachel. We moved to a small patch of unincorporated Pierce County in between Buckely and Bonney Lake in early 2018. We were married in 2011 and have had the great joy of being parents to our two girls during that time.

Our fascination with food began early on in our relationship. As workers and managers in the restaurant industry we were exposed to so many unique and fun ingredients. Our love of food propelled us to start a small farming operation and eventually purchase Rainier Fresh in January of 2024.

As business owners we focus a lot on values. We firmly believe that not all small businesses are good businesses and not all large businesses are inherently bad.

These are the principles that we run our store by:

Livable Wages: We pay a minimum wage of $20ph hour to our team. We do not deserve to benefit unjustly off of the labor of our team.

Giving Back: We welcome opportunities to donate to our favorite food security organizations and community partners. If we can help, we will.

Trusting our customers: If you find any purchase not to your liking or expectation we offer an on the spot, cash or digital refund. We want you to know that we stand by our products and trust that we will always endeavor to do the right thing.

Having Fun: Food should be fun and we are committed to continuing to find unique and exciting products for you to enjoy with your own loved ones.

If your in the store, please ask if we are around. We would love to say hello =]
